Featured as one of the top unsigned bands in Illinois on Alternative Press, Chicago five-piece pop-punk outfit CLEVELAND AVENUE have made a name for themselves as one of the rising bands in their local scene. Founded in 2017 by charismatic singer Defonte Berry and drummer Adam Gay, the band draws influences from the likes of New Found Glory, The Wonder Years, and Neck Deep by blending catchy, hard-hitting hooks with by lyrics inspired by real life situations.
In the fall of 2019, the band released their first EP, “True Love Is Not Just A Pizza Tattoo,” which now has over a million streams across all major platforms. “True Love…” was also able to land the group gigs with bands like Meet Me @ The Altar, Young Culture, and Keep Flying. On March 4th, 2021, the band’s latest single “Untaken” was premiered on Alternative Press and garnered a massive response, leaving listeners wanting more.
