Formed in 2010 under the name Eskimo Callboy, the band has already made plenty of noise and caused a worldwide sensation in the first decade of its existence but judging by what’s been going on in the last two years, that was just the prelude.

Since the singer Nico Sallach, who joined the band in 2020, the guys from Castrop-Rauxel are really going for it! The very first single with him became the biggest success in the band’s history so far. “Hypa Hypa” reached over 60 million plays in record time!

The two following singles “We Got The Moves” and “Pump It”, which will be featured on the upcoming album “TEKKNO”, are also the talk of the world with their spectacularly funny videos. The community even called for their participation in the Eurovision Song Contest.

In the course of the increased sensitivity in the use of ethnic terms, the band no longer felt comfortable with their first part of the name, which was chosen carelessly at the time, and therefore renamed themselves ELECTRIC CALLBOY on March 9th of this year. Now, the first album under the changed name, “TEKKNO“, will be released on September 9th. On the one hand, it impressively continues the chosen path, but on the other hand, it also pushes the already large genre boundaries even further.

So there is a guest feature of rapper FiNCH on the new single “Spaceman” and the song “Fuckboi”, which was created with the participation of the female post-hardcore band Conquer Divide, and these do not remain the only surprises!
