Drawing heavily from the Canadian post-hardcore exports of the 00’s and Toronto’s current R&B scene, this Waterloo four-piece leave us certain of one thing: romancer knows how to create a moment. Whether it be a crowd pleasing melodic tantrum of intricate guitar work and pounding percussion, or a euphoric slow burn towards the mother-of-all punk rock crescendos, this band delivers. It’s no question why they’ve been solicited to open for established live bands like Counterparts, Belmont, and Free Throw, as well as several successful tours south of the Canadian border. Recently, romancer have been consistently honing their craft, writing new songs and have released a live session to showcase their hard work. They’re gearing up for a massive 2020.
